Proposal
The essay I plan on expanding is essay four, which analyzed hauling videos and how it's positive outcomes for the viewers, the YouTuber, and the company being marketed in the video. I selected this essay for expansion because I feel like this is the subject I know the most about and feel like I could go in depth a lot easier in this essay then I could in any others. To expand I plan on using maybe two more YouTubers as an example because in the first paper I only used one. I also plan using examples of the deals the viewers get by watching these videos such as a sale price or sometimes even a chance to win the exact same piece of clothing or accessory as the YouTuber who filmed the video. I also plan on researching how these hauling videos help the company featured in these videos.

It's really cool how your writing about the positive outcomes of online things such as YouTube. Many people find what your talking about to be a negative affect. It's nice to hear someone talk about the brighter side to Marketing on YouTube.There's a lot you can do to write about that topic. Maybe you should try to look up statistics too. Maybe add it to your 2nd key term of how videos benefit companies. Good Luck on your essay! :)

I also picked essay 4 because I got to choose what to write about, which makes it a lot easier to write about since it interests us. I also think it's pretty cool that youtubers do positive things for their fans and give out things.
ReplyDeleteGood point going with the essay which you connect to the most and feel most comfortable and knowledgable about. Maybe try to add a counter point or a perspective from each view as in, one from the viewers, one from the YouTuber, and one from the producer of the products view. Good ideas and a good start.
ReplyDeleteI also wrote essay four about hauling and its affects on advertising as well as popularity. I am interested to know how you will continue to analyze the topic. Your view that online activities, such as YouTube, can lead to benefits in advertising as well as benefitting the viewers. I agree with an above comment that you could include a counter arguments view in order to thoroughly analyze each perspective. Great ideas!
ReplyDeleteNice start and solid comments from your peers. My only concern would be that this essay could sound like an advertisement for hauling videos. Instead of focusing on whether the marketing technique is good or bad, focus on why it works. This will allow you to analyze--focusing on the why questions instead. I suggest finding other sources on marketing.
